摘要:AbstractSelf- efficacy is one of the important factors for teaching mathematics effectively. For this purpose, the study aims to investigate the relationship between mathematics teaching self-efficacy and mathematics self-efficacy of pre-service elementary mathematics teachers. A Self -efficacy Beliefs towards Mathematics Teaching Scale was developed by Dede (2008) and Mathematics Self – efficacy Scale was developed by Umay (2002) were used. The scale was conducted to 144 pre-service elementary mathematics teachers in 2012- 2013 academic year. Data was analyzed by using SPSS 17.0 Package program. The results of the study revealed that pre-service elementary mathematics teachers’ self -efficacy beliefs scores towards mathematics teaching and mathematics are high and there is a positive relationship between mathematics teaching efficacy and mathematics self-efficacy. In addition, the results of the study have been discussed by comparing it with literature. Then, some suggestions have been presented for the researchers who are interest in self-efficacy beliefs towards mathematics teaching.
