摘要:AbstractThis paper outlines the results of a survey which was carried out to identify Düzce University prep class students’ attitudes towards English language learning. 400 non-English major students who took English in preparatory classes before they studied in their department participated in the research. A five point Likert Scale based on Gardner's Attitude/Motivation Test Battery was administered to all students to find out what attitudes students had towards English language learning. Frequencies and t-test were used in analyzing the data. This study indicates that students are anxious when they speak in classroom, nonetheless, they are willing to learn English, and there is statistically significant difference between the anxiety level of female and male students towards learning English.
