摘要:Theoretical background.Moral courage of teachers in Israeli education system has an additional value, because the Ministry of Education has complete control in determining policy and educational activities in the country (Baratz & Reingold, 2010). The results of the interviews we conducted suggest that there is a high consciousness among the teachers whom we interviewed of the issue of moral courage, but there is a gap between the conscious understanding of the concept by the teachers and the process of its implementation in practice.The morally courageous teachers were aware of the sanctions that may be exerted by the institution; nevertheless choose to implement his or her worldview, against the climate that suits the institution's view. But knowledge that performing a morally courageous act has a’price tag’, caused most of the teachers not to act morally courageous.
