摘要:AbstractThis study aims at assessing teacher trainees’ perceptions as to interpersonal communication, focusing on several aspects, i.e. the instructional environment, teacher's verbal and nonverbal communication behaviours - what the teacher says and how he/she says it, the teachers’ source credibility and task attractiveness, instructional outcomes, discipline management. We admistered a questionnaires aimed at identifying teacher trainees’ perceptions concerning interpersonal communication. The results revealed that beginning teachers consider as essential the dedicated and involving message delivery, emphasising ideas through stress and intonation, and focusing on students’ attention and interest.
