- 摘要：AbstractThis study aimed to investigate if obesity is linked topower semanticsas stated by Ugazio's systemic-constructivist theory (1998). The hupothesis was that power semantics are more frequent and meaningful among obese people compared to a control group, regardless of “age”. Twenty two obese women, 22 normal-weight women, and 17 obese youths were interviewed through Repertory Grid Techniques. Elicited constructs were classified into 11 semantic categories and statistically compared.The results showed that obese people made greater use of power semantics; although there were no age differences, obese girls considered power semantics more important. The results provide interesting implications for clinical setting.© 2012 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
