摘要:AbstractThe objective of this study was to conduct a survey on teaching practices employing concrete materials used by mathematics educators. The study was carried out at eleven middle schools affiliated with Brazilian public universities. Data was collected by means of electronic questionnaires. Twenty nine concrete materials are used by Brazilian teachers. Most of these materials are designed for specific educational purposes. However, some have been adapted for content outside of the material's original scope. Most teaching materials deal with various mathematical topics.
