摘要:Studies of aphasic patients have reported effects of psycholinguistic variables on picture namingincluding AoA, word frequency, familiarity and word length in different languages (Cuetos et al.,2002; Nickels & Howard, 1995). However, these studies do not typically test for random effectsacross participants such as the site of lesion, severity and age (though see Crepaldi et al. 2011). Theaim of this study was to examine whether reported effects of psycholinguistic variables aremaintained when the variability across participants and items is considered using mixed modeling.
