摘要:The age of acquisition (AoA) of a word has a significant effect on the decline of language inpatients with dementia (Cuetos et al., 2010; Forbes-MacKay et al., 2005). Late acquired words aremore difficult to retrieve than early acquired words on tests of object and action naming (Bradley etal., 2006). AoA has an effect on object naming in unimpaired Chinese speakers (Weekes et al.,2007) and on brain activation in language processing tasks (Weekes et al., 2008). However, no studyhas tested the hypothesis that AoA has an effect on naming in Chinese speakers with dementia of theAlzheimer's Type (DAT).
