摘要：Despite the fact that there are widely common cerebral changes with age, elderly people are farfrom being homogeneous with regard to their cognitive abilities. Variability in performance of olderadults is thought to also reflect the existence of different compensatory mechanisms depending onthe efficiency of compensatory neurofunctional processes as well as cognitive styles. Preservation oflexical semantic abilities with aging represent a unique cognitive ability to consider these factors.The aim of this study is to explore the behavioral and neurofunctional age-related changes inindividuals engaged in different aspects of a semantic categorization task.
