摘要：AbstractWith the social-economic development, more and more families have private cars, and the motorization trend is increasingly obvious. Under this circumstance, the road traffic of small and medium-sized cities showed unique characteristics different from other types of cities. Firstly, this paper describes the characteristics of small and medium-sized cities and present traffic situation in Huai’an. Secondly, the paper analyzes the city resident trip mode structure and changing trend in recent years in Huai’an. Thirdly, this paper explored the characteristics of traffic on urban roads from the perspectives of time, space, and safety.
