摘要:AbstractMuslim's consciousness of their responsibilities to consume only halal food creates an enormous potential worldwide demand for halal food. This demand for halal food has increased in tandem with the increase in the Muslim population all over the world. Malaysia Halal Food Standard, MS1500:2009 was established as a benchmark for a worldwide halal food quality system. This study aims to identify the critical success factors of MS1500:2009 implementation. Opinions of such experts as academics, industry practitioners, consultants and enforcers were gathered for this study. Results show that the key success factors of MS1500:2009 implementation have become a matter of deep concern, not only for halal food producers, but also for the stakeholders in the halal food industry in general. Findings from this study reveal that there are eleven critical success factors upon which producers or implementers of MS1500:2009 need to focus. These factors will be guidelines for all MS1500:2009 implementers to enable them to provide high standard halal products.
