摘要：The aim of this Volume is to stimulate debate and promote closer interaction between researches,helping in implementing new methods and facing new applicative problems in the direction of a moresustainable and fair future than the present age. Most contributions are derived from paperspresented at the AIRO Winter 2013 Conference; it was fully supported by AIRO, the ItalianOperational Research Association (AIRO), to which we address our special thanks.AIRO, founded in 1961, provides services and information to users and researchers of OperationsResearch and is responsible for training and dissemination of decision science methods in Italy. TheAssociation consists of more than 400 members, representatives of universities, research centers andcompanies. Research interests cover a wide range of both methods and applications, fromTransportation and Logistics to ICT, from Environment to Finance, form Production toCommunication.
