摘要:AbstractEffective writing skills are considered to be indispensable to participate in contemporary society. Despite its importance, there is considerable concern about writing instruction and the writing skills of primary school children. Based on this research synthesis, we recommend future studies to blend strategy instruction with a structured form of collaborative writing and to investigate its impact on cognitive and non-cognitive outcomes. To maximise writing performances, ICT needs to be integrated with instructional practices combining strategy instruction and collaborative writing. Consequently, writing practices are properly attuned to the twenty-first century for which children are ought to be prepared.
