摘要:AbstractThe study highlighted the lack of training and education as a barrier to women entrepreneurs and how a training program could solve these problems. It is essentially an investigation into the nature and effectiveness of the Women Entrepreneurship Program (WEP). The principal aim was to make a valuable contribution towards the area of entrepreneurship training program. Therefore, this study addressed the training of entrepreneurs and reveals that education and training are crucial for the development and creation of entrepreneurs in Malaysia. The main purpose was inform other women entrepreneurs about the program and provide them training, more specifically to investigate and explore whether the training content of the WEP has an effect on women starting their own businesses. This study provided a framework for and discusses content of future entrepreneurship training program. The findings of this empirical study have helped to highlight the benefits derived by the WEP delegated and the new entrepreneurial, as well as business skills and knowledge, which they gained. This study has shown that entrepreneurship program can help create new businesses, grow existing ones and generate new jobs. Areas for future research are outlined and various recommendations made to guide current and prospective entrepreneurship training program developers, providers, funders and sponsors.
