摘要：AbstractThis paper deals with some questions of description and study of intonation in the languages of different types that are reviewed and generalized from the position of intercultural communication. The following main aspects of intonation are analyzed: phonological, normative, typological, national-specific and culturological. The culturological aspect is positioned as an innovative one in the description of intonation. The problem connected with some distinguished approaches to the intonation research in the teaching foreign languages methods and some recommendations are raised in the paper.
