摘要:AbstractThe present study is an attempt to investigating the effect of unified materials development on Iranian EFL learners’ academic writing. The participants of the study were 85 Iranian Advanced EFL learners in not-for-profit higher education institute of Noor. In order to be certain that they had no unified materials development of academic writing, a pre-test was administered. One group was excluded from the four groups by administering unified principles. After the pre-test, the participants were divided into four groups. Three groups instructed through a paragraph writing development syllabus (16 sessions). However, the experimental group was tested through unified materials development. The collected data were analyzed using ANOVA procedures. The study also tried to show ways of clarifying the stages in writers’ thinking under characteristics of paragraph writing development. To analyze the test hypothesis, covariance analysis was used. The results of both tests of the group instructed through unified materials development indicated that there was significant positive correlation among post-test scores of learners. Finally, pedagogically implications and suggestions are presented for teachers to teach academic writing in advanced levels.
