摘要:AbstractThis study aimed to identify the relationship between Emotional Intelligence (EI), and Vocabulary Knowledge (VK) among Iranian EFL learners. Moreover, this study compared two models of EI based upon the ideas proposed by Salovey and Mayer (1990), and Saklofske, Austin, and Miniski (2003). And attempt was also made to find out which dimensions of EI can predict learning VK. Two instruments were used: Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence (SSREI) (1998), and the Nation's Level Tests (2001). The findings of this study revealed the fact that there was a positive relationship between EI and VK. Also, based on the findings, among all dimensions of EI, only Utilization can predict the variances in VK.
