摘要:AbstractThe current research aims at assessing engineering students’ perceptions regarding the teaching staff's oral communicative competence, based on the delivery of lectures (courses). The research targeted 250 students in their third academic year, studying at 5 technical faculties (Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanics). A questionnaire was devised according to the structural elements of an oral presentation: introduction (3 variables), body of the presentation (6 variables) and the end of the presentation (3 variables). The purpose of the study is to identify the weaknesses and strengths to be improved and worked on by the engineering teaching staff when compelled to deliver oral presentations, since communicative competence is a prerequisite both for the didactic process and research dissemination.
