摘要:AbstractThe closed loop behavior of knock control systems is hard to assess in any repeatable way because the response observed in any given simulation or experiment is heavily dependent on the particular random arrival of knock events in that instance. Recent work, however, has begun to address this issue by computing the statistical characteristics and time-varying distribution of the response, thereby encompassing all possible instances of the knock process. This paper briefly reviews this work using an improved notation, and then extends the method in order to compute the closed loop knock intensity distribution which is more fundamentally related to the risk of knock-related engine damage experienced by the engine.
