  • 摘要:AbstractThis paper focuses on the results of a pilot study based on the van Hiele theory of geometric thinking at Czech secondary schools. The van Hiele theory describes how young people learn geometry. It postulates five levels of geometric thinking. Usiskin later tested the ability of the van Hiele theory to describe and predict the performance of students in secondary school geometry. Our pilot study aimed to verify the test structure of the Usiskińs test in the Czech secondary schools, and to compare the outcomes with American results.
