摘要:AbstractNew research findings concerning adult's participation in learning, supports earlier studies, indicating that participation in adult learning are frequently caused by certain changes or situations in adults lives. Such situations can become situational triggering factors that updates and actualize participation in learning. Theories used to explain such situational triggering factors are often connected to life stage and lifespan theories, indicating that triggering factors for participation in adult learning are connected to certain stages in adult's life and development, closely related to a person's age. Findings presented in this paper indicate that triggering factors not necessary are tightly associated with certain age or within phases in the lifespan.
