摘要:AbstractThis paper identifies the quality of the physical environment in ten (10) workplace childcare centres registered with Social Welfare Department of Selangor, Malaysia. Centres were assessed with Children Physical Environment Rating Scale (CPERS), a scientifically reliable and valid assessment instrument. Data collected was analysed to provide insight on how the quality of the physical environment in current workplace childcare centres could contribute in improving other childcare centres in Malaysia. Literature has long suggested that the physical environment in early childcare centre have an impact on children's development. It is, therefore, important to ensure the planning and building design of early childcare centres are appropriately considered.
