摘要:AbstractThis study presents the results of a quasi-experiment in which 49 primary school children took part in order to assess if learning to tell a story in front of an audience improves communication and literacy. For 8 consecutive weeks, each student from the experimental group learned to tell a story to an audience during the weekly mandatory Reading class. Meanwhile, the control group did the curricular activities. The findings suggest that storytelling could be an efficient method to develop verbal fluency, verbal expressiveness, nonverbal expressiveness, self-confidence in front of an audience and teamwork for primary school students.
