摘要：AbstractCreativity of mathematicians plays a vital role when new mathematical ideas are formulated. It is evident that studying the way in which mathematical ideas are created in a mathematicians’ mind is worthwhile for investigation. Creativity in the domain of mathematics is defined in this paper. Research findings illustrating the workings of the mathematician's mind while engaged in the creative process and its characteristics are described. In order to demonstrate this process, a model of creativity is reviewed. The criteria for the acceptance of new ideas in mathematics as creative are also enumerated.
