  • 摘要:This paper presents three novel substrate materials with efficient dielectric characteristics. Different types of innovative substrate materials used for microwave electronics have been discussed. It has been demonstrated that the repeatability of results for paper substrate based electronics can be maintained using the proposed substrate materials. Three different substrate materials derived from recycled sources such as newspaper, copier paper and carton paper and banana pulp have been presented. The paper substrates were manufactured and processed to reduce the moisture content that might degrade the performance. A broadband dielectric material characterization of the proposed substrate shows a stable electromagnetic behaviour over the X – band operation with relative permittivities of 1.81, 1.63 and 1.84 along with loss tangents of 0.053, 0.046 and 0.057 respectively.
