摘要:This article is the result of a study aimed to identify the intensity of knowledge flows related to bioeconomy, between Romanian universities and other organizations. Using answers to a questionnaire addressed to faculty and researchers working in research areas linked to bioeconomy, and the principal component analysis, we have identified a set of five components explaining variations in intensity of their involvement in knowledge flows related to bioeconomy development by engaging in specific sets of activities. The headings Bio-Academic, Bio-Tech&Science, Bio-Entrepreneurship, Bio-Ambassador and Bio-Expert were attributed to the five components. The average level of involvement in bioeconomy of the respondents in the sample is almost minimal, which confirms the opinions from the analysed literature. The highest level of involvement was found in activities under the BioAcademic and Bio-Tech&Science components. The lowest intensity of involvement is linked to Bio-entrepreneurship.
