摘要:AbstractThis paper summarizes the content of my plenary talk in the 14th Workshop on Discrete Event Systems (Wodes18) whose goal is that of describing the general setting of partially observable discrete event systems. Special attention is devoted to four problems, namely state estimation, fault diagnosis, opacity, and intrusion detection. It is shown, by means of simple and intuitive examples, how the above-mentioned problems can be formulated and addressed, either using finite state automata or Petri nets.
