The research design was a non experimental descriptive survey. The sample size was 440 seniorsecondary school students from 11 public secondary schools in Cross River State. Simple random samplingtechnique was used to select 260 students from 7 schools in urban areas and 180 students from 4 schools in ruralareas. For the analysis of data, chi-square test analysis was used to test the relationship between variables atP<0.05 significant level and the result showed a statistical relationship of P<0.05 significant level between genderof urban school children and sexual behaviours. There was no significant relationship between the gender of ruralsecondary school students and their sexual behaviours and lastly, school geographical location significantlyinfluenced adolescents sexual behaviours, when the calculated X2 of 24.79 was greater than crit. X2 5.991. Based onthe above, it was recommended that: (i) secondary school students residing in rural areas should be more exposedto information on sexual matters especially in this era of HIV/AIDS. (ii) A well developed sexuality educationprogramme should be included in secondary school curriculum.
