  • 摘要:AbstractDehydration of mucus in the lungs of cystic fibrosis (CF) patients can inhibit mucociliary clearance (MCC), resulting in mucus build-up and blockages. Prior mathematical models have shown differences in MCC from the large airways and airway surface liquid (ASL) absorption dynamics between CF and non-CF patients. The model developed here captures MCC and ASL absorption dynamics over 250 minutes with higher accuracy than previous models.
