摘要:AbstractThe type VI secretion system, an organelle common to Gram-negative bacteria, is disassembled in a process mediated by the binding of ClpV ATPase. Fluorescence microscopy experiments in Vibrio cholerae have revealed that, during the course of this disassembly, the organelle breaks into pieces which appear to contract. We developed and analysed a dynamic model of ClpV binding. Our findings suggest that this breaking behavior is not directly triggered by accumulated ClpV binding.
