摘要：Continuous quality improvement (CQI) is a powerful tool used in the manufacturing environment. It has the potential to deliver results on both quality and productivity. CQI has performed well in many countries and companies, locally and internationally. This article investigates the impact which the introduction of continuous quality improvement can have on productivity in the Reman Centre. Reman is a strategic business unit of Komatsu South Africa. Currently Reman has a negative reputation for underperformance when compared to its third world counterparts internationally within the Komatsu family. This research article was undertaken to assist management towards understanding what steps need to be taken to resolve quality and productivity related challenges in the organisation.
