摘要：Malaysia has gone through a structural transformation since the crisis in 1997. Such changes have further strengthened financial stability and readiness for future global and regional crisis. However, Malaysia is now facing a widening fiscal gap and rising public debt. Malaysia’s low economic growth and increasing domestic debt may further pull Malaysia into a middle income trap. In the event, it is stimulating to analyse the policy responded to the increasing government debt while dealing with the current global crisis. The analysis will use Data envelopment analysis on the efficiency of government performance and investigate the factors that influence government performance when increasing expenditure to promote growth.
