摘要：The reproductive biology of fish has been a field of wide interest. The aim of this study was to determine the correlations between sex steroid hormones and maternal characteristics and larvae in the Persian sturgeon Acipenser persicus. The blood samples were derived from 22 female specimens in reproductive stage IV (migration of nucleus) for measuring testosterone (T), 17β-estradiol (E2), and progesterone (P4). As a result, T demonstrated a significant correlation with E2 (r= 0.44) and P4 showed a significant relationship (P < 0.05) only with the larval survival rate after the feeding stage (r= 0.52), but other variables did not demonstrate any significant correlation with one another. There was not a significant relationship in female Persian sturgeon between steroid hormones and size.
