摘要:AbstractThe coal-pulverizer is an important unit, which pre-processes coal-fuel fed to the boiler in coal-based thermal power plants. It is extremely important to comprehend the operational behavior of the coal pulverizer unit for good performance of the boiler and overall coal power-plant. This paper describes the first principle based energy and mass balance mathematical models of - 1) Static-classifier, and 2) Dynamic-classifier types of industrial coal-pulverizers. In static classifier case parameters of the presented mathematical model in Matlab are estimated from the actual plant data of 150MW ESSAR power plant’s coal pulverizer. The model operation is also validated. Whereas, in dynamic classifier case parametric analysis is carried out on the model simulator developed on the Matlab-Simulink platform and on the industrial coal power plant simulator tuned with actual 660MW ADANI power plant. Model results in the case of both the classifiers concords with the experimental data from the respective power plants. Moreover, the simulation results demonstrate the dynamic characteristics of both pulverizing units. Hence, reflecting the actual operation of the real-life coal mill pulverizers, the model simulator developed in the present work can be trusted for further use in rigorous control investigations.
