摘要:HEALTH PROBLEMS RELATED TO WORK PROCESSES CAN DRAIN COMPANY RESOURCES BOTHFINACIALLY AS WELL AS IN TERMS OF END PRODUCT QUALITY. DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT HASBEEN PROVEN THAT SECURING WORKPLACE ERGONOMIC IMPROVEMENTS LEADS TO QUICK ANDHIGH RETURN ON INVESTMENTS, COMPANIES ARE STILL STRUGGLING TO SECURE FUNDING FORERGONOMICS OPTIMIZATION PROJECTS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PAPER IS TO PRESENT THEUSEFULNESS OF A TOOL THROUGH WHICH A COMPANY CAN ANALYZE THE SMALLEST OVERALLTHEORETICAL EQUIPMENT INVESTMENT NEEDED IN ORDER TO IMPROVE PHYSICAL LOADRELATED ERRORS AND INJURIES TO THEIR WORKERS. THE RESEARCH WILL BE SUPPORTED BY ANANALYSIS OF THE WAREHOUSE CASE WHERE MANUAL HANDLINGS ARE DOMINANT ANDREPETITIVE, BUT COULD BE REPLACED BY ADEQATE EQUIPMENT. IN THIS CONTEXT, A FORMULAFOR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY IS PROPOSED WITH REGARDS TO THE MOST RELEVANT ERGONOMICASPECTS AND ALL WAREHOUSE HANDLING EQUIPMENT IS RATED IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THEDECISION MAKING PROCESS FOR THEIR AQUISITION.
