摘要:AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS HAVE A GREAT SIGNIFICANCE, BUT THE SYSTEMS THAT REQUIRE AND USEROBOTS’ CHARACTERISTICS ARE IMPORTANT AS WELL, ALLOWING AN EFFICIENT DIVERSITYREGARDING THEIR CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT. STATISTICS SHOW THAT IN EU, IN THELAST 10 YEARS, ON AVERAGE OF APPROXIMATELY 40000 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES EVERY SINGLEYEAR IN ROAD ACCIDENTS, WHILE ANNUAL FINANCIAL LOSSES WERE EVALUATED TOAPPROXIMATIVELY 25 BILLION EURO. STUDIES REVEALED THAT THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF AROAD ACCIDENT INCREASE EXPONENTIALLY WITH THE INCREASE OF THE TIME PAST BETWEENTHE IMPACT MOMENT AND INTERVENTION MOMENT. TODAY, IN EU, THE AVERAGE TIME TOINTERVENTION IS AROUND 30 MINUTES. IN ALL EU MEMBER STATES, A „SINGLE INTERVENTIONSYSTEM FOR EMERGENCIES” IS IMPLEMENTED AND WORKING THAT IS CONNECTED TO 112EMERGENCY NUMBER. IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE TIME BETWEEN IMPACT AND INTERVENTIONCAN BE REDUCED UP TO 50% THROUGH THE USE OF E-CALL. THIS SYSTEM INVOLVES AUTOMATICCONTACTING OF 112 IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT, BY A DEVICE INSTALLED ON THE CAR (A ROBOT),AS WELL AS PRIORITY CONNECTION TO THE CLOSEST STATION OF 112 SYSTEM AND THETRANSMISSION OF A MINIMAL SET OF USEFUL DATA FOR INTERVENTION. EU CURRENTREGULATION REQUIRES FROM 2017 THAT HOMOLOGATION OF VEHICLES, FOR SEVERAL TYPES OFVEHICLES, HAS TO BE DEPENDENT BY THE EXISTENCE AND FUNCTIONALITY OF SUCH TYPE OFROBOT INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLES. THE ARTICLE PRESENTS THE SYSTEM FEATURES AND NEWFUNCTIONALITIES DEVELOPED IN IHEERO PROJECT BASED ON ECALL TECHNOLOGY.
