Consensus projections suggest that an additional $2.5 trillionin annual fnancing will be required to meet these objectives. Estimates of howmuch is needed in Africa alone are upwards of $1.2 trillion a year.1. Ignoringthe question of whether this level of new investment is appropriate or plausible,attracting it likely will mean transforming not just a few countries but themajority of the African continent into a global investment destination.
