摘要：On the 19 th of November, 2016, the University ofWarsaw will celebrate its 200 th anniversary. This Ju-bilee Volume of Acta Geologica Polonica is the con-tribution of the academic community of the Faculty ofGeology to this ceremony. Fifteen papers prepared bythe research groups and individuals of the Facultypresent their current activities and research fields. TheGeological Sciences at the Faculty cover a wide spec-trum of disciplines, ranging between various fields ofbasic and applied geology. The volume is not uniformin its presentations, varying from original scientific pa-pers to review articles, but it offers a broad overviewof activity at the Faculty of Geology of the Universityof Warsaw, Anno Domini 2016.
