摘要：The present study is going to give the current status of multimedia resources in IIT Patna library. The study reveals the purpose of its usage, awareness about the webbased multimedia resources among the users and the biggest challenges and issues that are being faced while accessing these resources by the users in IIT Patna library. The survey method was adopted to conduct the study. A well-structured questionnaire was distributed to collect the data from the users of IIT Patna library. The findings of the study reveal that the maximum number of users (71.42%) are having awareness about web-based multimedia resources and they are using these resources on daily basis for their research purpose. The biggest constraints while using multimedia resources from shelves was found 'lack of subject access' with the highest percentage of 31.52%. Although most of the users (27.58%) using web based multimedia resources from library website were facing the problem of 'incompatible hardware software'.
