  • 摘要:This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the literature output in the field of Swine Flu covered in the bibliographic database namely MEDLINE. The literature covered in the database for the period 2005-2014 was considered. MEDLINE covered the maximum of 4441 records during the study period i.e. 2005 to 2014. It is found that maximum number of records were published during the year 2009. It was found that 34.02% are journal articles. 93.56% articles are of English language and followed by Chinese and Russian languages. United States has contributed the highest number of records in the study. India has the 5 th position among the countries. RGR by year wise revealed a decreased trend and DT is in increasing trend except the year 2009. RGR and DT for Indian output on Swine Flu research shows that the RGR is in decreasing trend and DT has shown increased trends throughout the study period except the year 2011. 32.70% of the contributors were by more than five authors and 68.15% covered by more than one author contribution. The average number of Degree of Collaboration is 0.70 which reveals that the collaboration research is evidence in the field of Swine Flu. 43 core journals grouped in zone-1 published 544 articles accounts for one third of the total output.  Similarly the second zone comprises of 148 journals with 504 articles and 232 journals with 463 articles grouped in third zone. Indian efforts in Swine Flu research are greater in 3 years out of 10 years of study.
