  • 摘要:The present paper attempts to study the performance of India in research on Kawasaki disease using a series of bibliometric indicators. As seen from SCOPUS database India’s research output cumulated to111 publications in 10 years during 2005-14. India registered faster growth rate of 35.39% CAGR compared to 7.09% by the world in research on Kawasaki disease during 2005-14. India’s citation impact was 7.59 citations paper;72% of country output was cited 1 to 360 times per paper.  India’scitation share was 24%, international collaborative papers share 12.61%, global publication share 4.09%, and relative citation index of 0.79 during 2005-14. India is ranked 8 th most productive country in the world on Kawasaki disease studies.Medicine accounted for the highest publication share (97.3% share). The top most productive 10 Indian organizations accounted for 63.96% publication share and 77.94% citation share of its total Indian output on Kawasaki disease during 2005-14.The 15 top most productive authors together accounted for 84.68% publication share and 69.16% citation share of its total Indian output on Kawasaki disease during 2005-14.The top 10 most productive journals together accounted for 65.77% share of total output in journals covering Kawasaki disease during 2005-14. The study suggests the need for evolving a suitable management strategy for surveying, monitoring, controlling and treating Kawasaki disease cases in India.
