摘要:The adsorption of Rhodamine B (Basic dye) on Leucaena leucocephala seed shellwaste carbon was investigated to assess the possible use of this adsorbent for theprocessing of dyeing industry wastewater. The influence of various factors such asinitial dye concentration, agitation time and temperature on the adsorption capacity hasbeen studied. The percentage removal of dye is observed to decrease with the increasein initial dye concentration. With increase in temperature the adsorption of dye alsoincreases, indicating endothermic nature of the reaction. Adsorption isothermal datacould be interpreted by the Langmuir and Freundlich equations. Kinetic data havebeen studied using Elovich and Pseudo-second order equations for understanding thereaction mechanism.
