摘要：The aim of this study was to assess the heavy metal concentration in the wastewaterused in irrigation for vegetable production. Seven heavy metals viz., Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn,Ni, Cr and Fe were targeted for the present investigation. Ten sampling sites wereselected on the basis of mass vegetable production. The results showed that the averagelevel of Zn, Cu and Ni (3.78, 0.015 and 0.006 mg/L respectively) were within thepermissible limit at all the sampling sites. Chromium was below the detectable limitand the concentration of Fe, Cd and Pb (1.004, 0.042 and 0.239 mg/L respectively)were found above the prescribed limit at all the sampling sites.
