摘要：Exhaust gases from auto vehicles are the main source of air pollution, especially inurban areas. These exhaust gases consist of oxides of nitrogen and carbon monoxidecausing pollution of air and producing the disturbance to the dynamic equilibrium ofnature. These gases are toxic to humans, animals and plants. To get rid of this problemthe paper proposes a new device to check the entry of NO 2 , NO and carbon monoxideinto the atmosphere by connecting a specially designed fibre glass absorption chamberto the silencer of the auto vehicles. The chamber is divided into three parts and filledwith such chemical which absorbs oxides of nitrogen, CO and carbon particles. Thisexperiment is successful to check the CO and NO 2 pollution up to an extent.
