摘要:The manufacturing of 21st century is globalizedand integrated in development of products, processes andproduction delivery. The compliance of various technolo-gies and activities are oneness of different manufacturingorganizations, which are fighting for survival in globalizedmarkets and competitive manufacturing environment. Thecompetitive manufacturing organization must enhance thevariety of product types, production flexibility and quality,and decrease the manufacturing cost and production vol-ume also finding other ways to understand the customerwishes. The customizing products and services are amongthe most critical means to deliver true customer value andachieve superior competitive advantage. The challenge isnot to customize products and services in itself – but to doit in a profitable way [1]. The more effective tool of masscustomization is a product configuration system of achiev-ing and implementing this in practice and offering a reduc-tion of the lead time for products and quotations. It alsoachieves faster and more qualified responses to customerinquires, fewer transfers of responsibility and fewer speci-fication errors, a reduction of the resources spent for thespecification of customised products, and the possibility ofoptimising the products according to the customer re-quirements.
