  • 摘要:A bearing is a system of machine elements whosefunction is to support an applied load by reducing frictionbetween the relatively moving surfaces. The hydrodynamicbearing is to develop positive pressure by virtue of relativemotion of two surfaces separated by a fluid film. If twomating surfaces during operating conditions are completelyseparated by lubricant film, such a type of lubrication iscalled fluid film lubrication. Elliptical bearings have beensolved based on the numerical solution of Reynolds equa-tion for finite bearings [1]. Reynolds differential equationhas been analyzed for journal bearings having 100 and75 deg arcs using digital computer [2].
