摘要：Lubricants, which play an important role in wearand friction reduction, inevitably contain solid contamina-tion particles. These undesirable particles can be generatedwithin machine components by abrasion and adhesion, orperhaps entrained into the lubricating oil from the sur-roundding environment. Such particles become one of themajor causes of failure of a tribological system. They dam-age surfaces and lead to fatigue and wear of machine ele-ments.
