摘要:On the other hand, tobacco companies are developing various strategies to secure new customers to reverse today’s trend of unfavourable attitudes toward smoking. In particular, they are targeting women and the young in an effort to secure new customers. The feministic marketing strategy of stressing smoking as a symbol of progressive women’s rights is a well-known strategy used by the tobacco companies. Furthermore, fruity, minty, chocolate-scented and flavoured tobacco is another strategy to attract women and adolescent customers.
