摘要:The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore the key factors that act as a barrier to m-commerce (e-commerce through mobile phone or any wireless device) adoption in developing countries, and to investigate the ways to overcome these barriers. 27 face to face in-depth interviews were conducted among the participants who were classified as bankers, solution providers, telcos, retailers and government official. Lack of literacy, trust and conflict of interest between telcos and banks were found to be the major barriers to the adoption of m-commerce in Bangladesh. The research output can help in the design of a long term policy to build up a large and sustainable m-commerce enabled society.
