摘要：The StW 431 hominin skeleton was discovered by excavation teams from the University of the Witwatersrandduring February and March 1987, 1 at the karstic cave site of Sterkfontein, Cradle of Humankind, South Africa. Thissite has yielded the largest sample of the taxon Australopithecus africanus, fossil members of the genus Homo andarchaeological evidence of Oldowan and more recent lithic technologies.
